A ruin of a gothic Kasperk castle build in a dominant position, was founded in 1356 to protect the area's gold mines as well as the old route to Bohemia. Advanced fortifications from the same period are found to the southeast and known as "the Deserted Castle". The castle is a fine example of the defense architecture.

It was plundered in the 17th century, but partly reconstructed again in the 19th. Inside you will see exhibition on the history of the castle and on the history of the gold mining in the area.
