Mining museum OKD in Landek (Ostrava) is the largest mining museum in Czech republic. The part of the exhibition is an underground excursion with ride into mine in pit cage 250 m under the ground.
Mining museum OKD is the largest mining museum in Czech republic. It is situated in the southeast foothill Landek (above the confluence of the rivers Odra and Ostravice). In 1992, Landek hill was proclaimed the National Natural monument. The museum was opened on 4th of December 1993 on the celebration of St. Barbara, the miner´s patroness.
