Detailed info

Main Street

Main Street is the central street of Kosice. It spans from Liberators' Square on south to Peace Marathon Square on north with most major historic and cultural attractions along a six-block stretch, and makes the historic Old Town easy to navigate through on foot.

Main Street was made in a typical medieval style. The spindle shape of the street is typical for most towns in Easter Slovakia. In the past, the brook was flowing down the street. In 1997 the miniature of the brook appeared again in Kosice.

St. Elizabeth's Cathedral

Gothic St. Elizabeth's Cathedral is the largest cathedral in all of Slovakia. Its construction began in approximately 1378. St. Elizabeth's Cathedral is a true dominant of Main Street as well as the whole city of Kosice.
