Jakab's Palace
Jakab’s palace is situated on the eastern part of Mlynska Street, in vicinity of Stefanikova Street and the Town Park. It was built in 1899 in a neo-Gothic style. It is named after an important architect of Kosice, Arpad Jakab.
In April-May 1945, during The Government Program of Kosice, it was the residence of the president of Czechoslovak republic Eduard Benes. Between 1992-2000 Jakab’s palace served as a seat for Cultural and Information Centre of British Council.
